VHS to DVD Upgrade for Ultrasound

Many of today’s systems have the ability to save patient studies to DVD either built in, or as an available upgrade. If your system still utilizes a VCR you may want to consider a Medical grade DVD recorder upgrade. This upgrade is a simple process, completed in just 1 to 2 hours, and gives you the ability to store many patients on a DVD disc. This means that you can view them in high resolution on any PC with windows media player or comparable video player installed!

Copying one patient from the DVD in order to send to another Doctor is also a simple procedure, and of course there is the storage, DVDs take up much less space than a VHS tape.

And if that is not a good enough reason, there is Accreditation, they will no longer accept VHS tapes of studies required to stay in compliance. Yes, you could use a non-commercial home unit, but, you will not get the same reliability or quality of operation.

With the new Medical DVD recorders they enable you to record a patient study, remove the DVD to review, then reinstall the DVD into the recorder and continue to record right where you left off, without the worry of writing over previous patients.

Then there is a built in Hard Drive that stores all your recordings in case of a power failure, lost DVD disc, or damaged DVD disc.

The unit enables you to find the patient in the menu and re-record to a new DVD disc, making this a upgrade well worth the investment.

Typical installations can cost for a new unit around $2700.00 and $1700.00 for a Demo or Refurbished unit.
